I just came across this SouthWest Airlines video via Stumbleupon, and thought it would be a great video to share.
Including our last trip to Amarillo I have flown on SouthWest twice. The first time was to Las Vegas several years ago..I was not to thrilled with them as my bag was lost when coming home, but this last flight more than made up for any negative experience I had with the previous flight.
If you have not flown on SouthWest Airlines before, they do not give you assigned seating, and there is no division of classes. I would advise that you check in at least 24hrs ahead of time on-line to insure that you are in the first group of people to board the plane.
When boarding Southwest has you line up in three groups A, B, and C. And within each group you have a number 1-60 for the flights we took.
On the way to Amarillo, we did not pre-register online, and we were in the B and C group, so we boarded late. On the way home, though, Lizzie pre-registered online and had us in the middle of the first group, so we had plenty of chance to stow our carry-on luggage. Which if you are in the C group, might require your bags to be checked if room runs out.
Well for this post on SouthWest, I am going to (sorry for the pun) wrap it up. I will be doing more Amarillo blog posting in the near future.
What experiences with Airlines do you have to share? Good or bad?

I have never flown with SouthWest before, and I didn’t even know that there was no assigned seating. Not sure how this works, but i’ve heard great things about the on flight service. And a rapping version of the on flight rules and regs is pretty cool as well.
I read a few years ago that Southwest Airline was the best Airline in the US.
I still this the case?
I am from Asia by the way.

No assigned seating is pretty easy, kind of a like a movie theatre….whoever gets on the plane first gets to take their carry ons and sit up front. Whoever is in the C group must check bags and sit in middle seats, pretty easy really.
Southwest does a good job overall. They don’t charge for the first 2 checked bags and they don’t charge you to change your flight….plus they have reasonable maximum prices for their tickets.
@wine of month club, on the way home Lizzie checked in online the day before, that got us into the middle of the A group..Checking in ahead of time online is highly suggested.
I recently heard that airlines are now asking people to use the washroom before boarding for their flights, in attempts to get rid of hundreds of extra pounds.
