Our Chicago Vacation begins next Monday at sometime near 6am, so Lizzie tells me. She arranged for us to stay at the Marblehead, Ohio Surf Motel Monday night since it seems like it is well over half way to Chica
go, and seems to be somewhat of an interesting place that she has never visited. God willing, we will be staying at the Surf Motel Monday night.
I was just Tweeting and did a Twitter search for Marblehead, Ohio and recently one resident made the news when an Eagle dropped a fish it was carrying and it smashed the woman’s wind shield. Got to hate when a bird drops something on your windshield..lol..
If we fall in love with Marblehead, we might decide to stay an additional night..we are flexible if anything.
After visiting Marblehead, we are planning on driving the rest of the way to our friends place in Chicago.

Our Chicago Vacation will include:
- Dining at more than one of Chicago’s great restaurants and eating some more great Chicago Pizza.
- I want to attend a BNI networking meeting sometime during the week.
- We will also be conducting SEO training while in Chicago, so it is not entirely a non business Chicago vacation.
- The girls want to do some shopping in Chicago.
- Hanging with our Chicago friends.
Tweets about our Marblehead Ohio and Chicago Vacation:
- Marblehead Ohio Tweet
- ExploreChicago offering advice to us in regards to what to see and do in Chicago. Check out the official Chicago Tourism site.
- Me thanking ExploreChicago for their offer.
More blog posts and Tweets will occur during the vacation…so until then..hang loose.
If you are going to be in the Chicago area next week, let us know, maybe can meet up.

[...] and I are once again going to Chicago. This time however, unlike our Chicago OMS trip, this Chicago Vacation will be a family vacation with very little work involved…yea right.. The Great Chicago [...]
Just a little follow up on the Chicago Recession Vacation. We did stay at the Surf Motel, but would not suggest the excursion to the town for anything other than fishing. If we had not been traveling with our dog, we surely would not have staid at the Surf Motel. But it was only for one night.
The rest of the Chicago trip entailed us staying in Chicago for one night and the rest of the time at our friends place in Watseka.
I would recommend checking out Navy Pier. Not only can you shop and play but you also get some great view’s of both the water and the city.
I had wanted to get over to Navy Pier, but time did not permit…there is just so much of Chicago to see.
