Two new categories were added to the travel directory today. If you would like to suggest new categories, you can do it here on this post or via the contact form on the front of the directory.
New Travel Categories
- Philadelphia Travel travel sites that pertain to travel in Philadelphia to include travel guides from Philly, Philadelphia travel blogs, and other Philadelphia travel resources. I did this because this site is headquartered not even an hour from Philadelphia, so plenty of Philadelphia travel opportunities present themselves on a daily basis. One being when I read about CrunchGear’s GeekWeekend Philadelphia which reviewed some cool Philadelphia attractions as suggested by VisitPhilly.
- In addition to being a place to find Philadelphia travel resources, you can also find the latest tweets that used the words “Philadelphia” and “travel”.
- Travel Guides This category did exist before, but I retitled it, added a longer description, and also added the Twitter feed for the search query using “Travel Guides”.
Other Travel Sites Directory updates
When going through my weekly submissions, I have been Tweeting about the submissions. If the travel site has a Twitter account, (please feel free to add Twitter Travel profiles for free and forever) I @them and put a link to the category page, and occasionaly their travel website page.

I need to do some traveling… Going to California in August! But that is only one state over so imo not really traveling.
Paul, I think any traveling you so, whether it is locally, nationally, or abroad counts. There are plenty of things in my own back yard that I would love to check out…but traveling a further distance does seem to make the trip much sweeter.
